Transit of Venus on my Birthday

The lovely boyfriend took me downtown on my birthday to experience a few of my favourite places. I absolutely adore downtown Toronto and have always considered living there. Downtown is only twenty minutes from where I live so its not an awful trek to make and I find driving downtown, coming closer the the skyline on the highway is one of the prettiest sites ever, day or night! Here are a few shots of my day. We visited the St. Lawrence Market place, which is one of my all time favourites places ever, to grab some fresh bites and check out the goods.

After that, we decided to walk on over to Sugar Beach, which is a man made beach near the docks. It was our first time being there and it wasn't busy so we sat on the white beach chairs and took in the air. I was extremely look to get good weather, especially since the forecast called for rain, which is did not!

The main reason we went downtown was to participate in the Transit of Venus viewing at varsity stadium near of University of Toronto. The astrology and astrophysicist department was holding the event that was completely free and was easily one of my favourite things of the day. I cannot express to you how much I adore space. I would have gone into being an astrophysicist if I had the brains for it.
