May 2012 GlossyBox Canada

Another Glossybox this month! I wasn't able to get last month's glossy box so I was a little sad and anxious about getting this months box. I had a really great experience with the March one, so this particular box held high hopes.

I can't get over how cutely packed the box is. I find that these boxes work really well as gift boxes or as storage for small items (like my button collection) or to hold items like jewellery. But lets put aside the box and get into the goodies inside. I was quite impressed with the amount of full size products we got this month, especially for the very nice size Sebastian Professional Volumizing Shampoo

This box included some other products, including a colour correcting concealer, eye makeup remover and facial cleanser by Simple and Curel foot cream, which can be the least exciting thing but a star in my eyes. Why, you may ask? Well, I suffer from awful cracked feet and I adore foot creams! I think its appropriate seeing as summer is here and its basically flip flop or sandal weather.

The Simple Eye Makeup Remover is a very nice fairly good sized product that works pretty well in cleaning  up my face but it is simply just, okay. I have not tried the makeup cleanser simply because I am always a bit weary about trying new skin care products, so let me know what you thought of it if you have tried it.

I also haven't given the shampoo a try but I am quite excited to see how it preforms since I suffer form limpy hair. I am, however, very content, if not highly satisfied with my Aveda shampoo that does awesome things to my flat hair, but I will still give this a try and update you guys on its volumizing effects.

This last product is a colour corrector in Orel by the brand Boxx, which is a new company to me. This item was the one item that differed for people as some others received a Pandora lipstick, I think, or some other item I am not aware of. I was actually hoping to get this product, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it in my box.

In the pan, the colour did seem like it would be a good under eye colour but upon closer swatching it appears a tad bit to ashy for my skin tone. This product was a little on the drier side, and wasn't as creamy as it could have been. It comes in a magnetic pan, which can fit nicely into a Mac palette with the inserter taken out but otherwise I would imagine it being a little tough to store outside its plastic package. It isn't a full cover concealer, in fact, I'd reserve it for more of light highlight colour, but as the name suggests, it is probably made for that. I think, though, this would match my mum very well. In other words, its not terribly bad but I hoped it be a little bit better.

I was really impressed with this box, and I've yet to feel disappointed with the company. But, then again, I've only tried it out for two months. However, if you guys are thinking of trying out Glossy Box for yourself, then I have a coupon code for you to use!! Yay for coupons!!!
