Mac Heavenly Creature Haul & Swatches

I can't really express to you guys how excited I was for this collection ad in truth, I haven't been this ecstatic about a Mac release in a long time. However, I think eighty percent of the appeal was in the name. I am not sure if you are aware but I am quite obsessed with space and astronomy. For a while now, if I really had the chance and the brains I would have pursued astronomy but given my inabilities I settled for something else. This collection brought out my love for space!

1. EARTHSHINE 2. CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSE 3. STAR WONDER 4. LIGHT YEAR

I ended up purchasing all of the mineralized skin finishes simply because I figured they would work on my skin tone, and the beautiful colouring was too hard to resist.

The melange in these babies are absolutely stunning and Mac did a wonderful job making them look absolutely spacey!

1. Earthshine, the darkest of the bunch, has some gold champagne, brick orange and rusty burgundy colour in it - swirled together it makes a beautiful deep plum that will be SO flattering on darker skin.

2. Centre of the Universe, my personal favourite, has a swirl of orange, gold champagne ( a little richer than the one in Earthshine) and a rustier redy coral that combines into an  beautiful orangey gold sheen.

1. EARTHSHINE 2. CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSE 3. STAR WONDER 4. LIGHT YEAR

3. Star Wonder has a combination of a paler gold, pink and purpley pink colour that combines into a more cooler toned pink with gold shimmer. I think this would be really nice on lighter skin tones and would work well as a highlight for others.

4. Light Year is a mixture of a softer, more warmer pink, a very pale gold and a metallic bronze colour that appears little bit like Nars' Orgasm when combined. It is a very pretty peachy pink!

I didn't go too crazy on the blushers and ended up purchasing two out of the four that I thought would be the most flattering. I was super excited about the darker one and upon first impressions and swatching I thought it to be too dark but I found that the colour allows it to be used as an eyeshadow as well.

1. RING OF SATURN 2. STRATUS

5. Ring of Saturn blush has a really deep almost wine colour combined with a more warm toned pink. Mixed, it a darker version of Light Year and look so nice on my skin tone. I think this would work well as blushed for those with more olive and medium dark skin and lighter!

6. Stratus does look a little of putting in the pan. It has a swirl of a rich cranberry hue and a bronzy gold shade that combined doesn't appear too different from the darker colour. It looks to my like a deep plummy red. I was thinking, this could work really nicely as an eyeshadow as well. Also, this one is, by far, the most pigmented out of the entire bunch.

I hope this is helpful to you guys since the collection doesn't come out, in stores, until next week, july fifth. You can, however, still get it online so take a look and tell me what you were thinking of getting!
