Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup Review

I don't own anything from Estee Lauder, but so many people were talking about their new foundation, the Invisible Fluid Makeup, and it definitely peeked my interest. I was especially interested when people compared it to the Chanel Vitalumiere foundation, which, in Canada, have a very sucky colour range. This particular line had a really extensive colour selection ranging from both warmer and cooler tones. After trying it out for a few days, I think it is one of my favourite foundations, especially for the warmer months.

This particular foundation is advertised to be almost like skin. The fluidity and coverage of it is fairly light. I would say the coverage is light to medium buildable. Some people say its quite sheer but I think it does a good job of evening out the skin. It does not cover dark spots, like acne scarring.

The colour I got was 4WN1 and it was really between this and the 3CN1. I found that they were pretty similar however the colour I chose was slightly more warmer. However, when you first try on this foundation it does apply a lot more lighter. It WILL look very pale but once you let it sit on the skin it does eventually warm up.

The finish of this foundation is what appealed to me the most. It isn't completely matte but it does keep the oils at bay. My bestie, who suffers from more drier skin said she hated it because it dried her skin out but when I wore it, I didn't see an issue. I guess if you have more oily to combination skin, this would work best but if you had more drier skin, stay away.

I think that this foundation works best when using the Real Techniques buffing brush. Honestly guys, this is my favourite brush ever and I cannot wait to return to that states and pick up more of the Real Technique brushes. I find when I use this brush to apply most of my foundations, it just goes on much better than any of the brushes I own. It's like magic!

I hope you enjoyed this review and let me know if you had a chance to try this foundation out!
