June ❤ Favourites
I have not done a monthly favourites post or video in a long while but I thought that I would go ahead and mention a few products that I have been consistently showing love to this past month. June was a really great month for because I turned 21. I had a great party, got to see some people I have not seen in a long time and got some really great presents. :]
Mac's Comfort Mineralized Skin Finish has been on my favourites since the time I got it a few months ago. It continues to be the most flattering bronzed gold hue that works wonderful on my tanned skin. Makeup Forever Mat Duo is although a recent edition has still be used frequently. It is a finely milled powder that blends and applies beautifully to the skin without looking over done. It does an okay job of keeping the oils at bay but I just like the coverage. It's not completely full but can be buildable or applied sheerly.
I love Soft Brown like no other colour in my entire collection. It has been my most used eyeshadow because the colour is just so flattering on any skin tone! Orb on the other hand is a newbie. I believe I got this only about two months ago but I just love the soft peachy highlight that applies like a satin.
I just cannot get enough of Mac's Fleur Power blush. It's a really bright pinky coral (matte) that really adds a pop of colour to the cheeks without going over board. I've been more of a fan of peachier blushes but this is the exception. It has to be one of my favourite colours to wear.
Alongside Fleur Power, I loved Estee Lauders Pure Colour Gloss in Gold Berry, which in my opinion is an odd name for this shade. I do not see hints of berriness in the colour at all, rather it comes out more as a peachy gold shade that is not super opaque but does give a nice hue to any lip shade. I personally love it over nude shades just to give some warmth.
Mac's Kissable Lip Colour in Woo Me is my favourite nude gloss at the moment. The formulation of these glosses is outstanding and I really hope Mac comes out with newer colours and make them permanent!
Now I know mentioned the ever so coveted Spiced Chocolate Quad that Mac came out with back in 08(?) is quite unfair but I really think this is one of the best quads Mac has ever come out with. But to be honest, I have not touched this quad in a long time. It wasn't until I used this on a client of an Indian wedding reception did my love for it sparkle. It is just the perfect quad for brown skinned ladies, and any one really. It has so much warmth and dimension that it can be used in any time of the year.
Every colour is pigmented and applies and blends like a dream, which is quite unusual for a Mac quad. Usually there is that odd one or two colours that are just plain crap. In fact, one shade just outshines the others and I am forced to cave in and pay the $40 price tag just for that one colour.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the post. What were you favourites in the month of June?
